Loss mechanism analyses of perovskite solar cells with equivalent circuit model

Understanding and quantifying the main loss factors affecting power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells are urgently needed. In this work, based on semiconductor physics, expressions bulk surface recombination currents analytically derived. Then taking optical loss, series shunt resistance losses, losses into consideration, an equivalent circuit model is proposed to describe current density-voltage characteristics practical cells. Furthermore, by comparing drift-diffusion model, pre-defined physical parameters well agree with fitting retrieved which verifies reliability model. Moreover, when applied analyze experimental results, outcomes show favorable consistency investigations offered experiments. And relative errors above cases all less than 2%. Through employing dominant type clearly identified split curves characterizing different mechanisms offered, intuitively reveals principles loss. Additionally, through calculating ratios under open-circuit voltage condition, above-mentioned becomes simple compelling.
